They aren’t totally wrong, but objectively speaking their lives are better off by every metric and it’s a bit insulting to suggest otherwise. But this is talking about averages, it doesn’t mean every attractive person has a better life nor does it mean unattractive people can’t be successful, just that studies show it’s far more difficult for people who are not attractive and face the same problems with worse outcomes.

YTA This sounds like your ex is in a Cat The Furry Little Sociopath Who Rules Your Household Shirt where she is responsible for several employees. With that position, there will be times when she will have to cover for one of her employees. It’s called an emergency. This was a ONE time occurrence and, personally, i feel it’s commendable that this young man could step up and help his mom out in an emergency. Now it’s time for BOTH of you to come up with an emergency backup childcare plan so this doesn’t happen again. You got a lot of nerve talking about neglect. She was smart enough to raise the 13 year old that kept YOUR baby alive for 8 hours. Work WITH your ex. You’re going to be co-parenting for a long time! Also, send the 13 year old to certified babysitting classes and PAY HIM if it does happen again.
